Fana / Sanctuary of Apollo
Φανά
Ancient sanctuary remains at the southwestern coast, giving a quiet beach landscape a deeper archaeological layer.
Directions
At the quiet southwestern coast, Fana brings ancient history into a beautifully open seaside landscape. The remains belong to the sanctuary of Apollo Phanaios, a place connected in antiquity with the sea routes of the Aegean. The ruins are understated rather than monumental, but the setting - especially when combined with nearby Kato Fana - gives the visit a special sense of place.
