The experience
Kardamyla tells Chios's maritime story in two distinct settings. The older upper settlement keeps its stone houses, narrow streets and arches, while the lower settlement of Marmaro opens directly onto the harbour and the sea. Generations of seafarers have shaped the area's identity, and the waterfront monuments and windmills make that connection visible before you continue north toward Nagos and Giosonas.
