Volissos is the natural base for discovering northwestern Chios and the wild landscapes of Amani. The old village climbs beneath its medieval castle, while nearby Limnia connects it to the sea and the long beaches of Managros, Limnos and Lefkathia. Stay for a meal or an evening walk and the village feels less like a stop on a route and more like the centre of its own part of the island.
